COMPETITION ENTRY
Competition Entry should be made on the website http://algarvegolftour.com
The deadline for entry is 48 hours before the competition starts.
Tee times will be posted on the website http://algarvegolftour.com on the day before the competition.
In the event of over subscription priority will be given to those with the lowest handicap.
COMPETITION DAY OF PLAY
Players must register at the golf course with the Algarve Golf Tour representative at least 15 minutes before their Tee Off time.
The competition fee must be paid in full before play is allowed.
It is the players responsibility to ensure their card is completed correctly, with their name, date and correct handicap, signed by himself and the marker and handed to the Algarve Golf Tour representative upon completion of their round.
CANCELLATION
If a player is unable to play in the competition, Algarve Golf Tour must be informed by 3pm the day before the competition: phone, SMS or e-mail using details found on Contact page.
GENERAL
Play for men is from Tournament tees. Play for ladies is from Yellows.
18 holes Stroke play will be played in accordance with The Rules of Golf as prescribed by The Royal and Ancient Golf Club.
Local rules will be applied as appropriate by the Algarve Golf Tour organiser.
All players must abide by the Rules and Etiquette of Golf.
All players must ensure speed of play.
All players must report to the Starter and be ready to play at least 10 minutes before the allotted tee time. If the player is late and not ready to play when called he may be disqualified. Note: The official, on-course-clocks, are deemed to be the official time.
In the event of a tie for 1st place the decision will be made by best last 9, then 6, then 3 and then the last hole. If there is a tie for any other places they will remain as ties and order of merit points will be shared with the ties.
PRIZES
Prizes will be awarded on the day of play after the last group have handed in their score cards.
The value of the prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place on the competition day are determined by the amount of entrants.
The minimum number of entrants required for prizes is 12 players.
ORDER OF MERIT
There is an Order of Merit prize which will be awarded at the end of the year to the person in first place.
The winner of the Order of Merit will be determined by the amount of points accumulated throughout the competition year.
In order to qualify for the Order of Merit players must have played in a minimum of 3 Algarve Golf Tour competitions.
LEGAL
Algarve Golf Tour reserve the right to refuse any application for any reason at any time.
Media Release - Entrants agree to release all media rights to Algarve Scratch league, without compensation, which include any coverage of play, any activity at the competition venue, photographs and testimonials for display in videos, newspapers, magazines, television, internet posting and or broadcasting and all other forms of media.
Algarve Golf Tour reserve the right to cancel a competition without reason.
